Suzuki Swift with DualJet Engine Launched in Europe

Suzuki Swift with DualJet engine
Suzuki has introduced a new engine option for the Swift in the European market. The supermini is now available with a new 1,2litre engine with DualJet 66kW (99PS) in certain variants. The development of the DualJet engine was focused on achieving more efficient fuel consumption and lower CO2 emission. As a result, the fuel consumption was reduced in the combined test cycle of 0.5 l/100 km to 4.4 l/100 km due to numerous improvements in the areas of engine, gearbox and aerodynamics. The CO 2 emissions is now at 100 g / km, 13 g / km lower than the standard 1,2litre version.

The DualJet injection is a further development of the well-known multi-point fuel injection, each cylinder is given a second injection nozzle. This, along with additional modifications on the engine results in an improved and more efficient combustion of the fuel-air mixture. The compression ratio of the engine is increased to 12.0: 1 and the maximum torque is increased to 120 Nm at 4,400 rev / min.
