Some folks at Gaadiwaadi.com have spotted an unpainted body shell and chassis of the Maruti Y9T LCV. The body shell, which was spotted along with a Maruti Eeco body shell seems identical to one that the Indonesian Suzuki Carry Pick Up has.
Gaadiwaadi.com said that once the body shells and chassis have been painted, Maruti will start road testing both the Y9T and Eeco diesel before launching them in early 2015.

Earlier reports has said that the Y9T would be based on the latest Japanese version of the Suzuki Carry Pick Up. However, the spy shot revealed that the Y9T has a body shell identical to the Indonesian version of Suzuki Carry Pick Up.

The Y9T will be powered by an option of 1.2liter K-Series petrol engine, and a turbocharged 0.8liter Suzuki self-developed diesel engine, which will also be fitted on the Eeco van and the Celerio hatchback.
In the Indonesian market, the Carry Pick Up is currently sold alongside the APV Pick Up (called Mega Carry in Indonesia). With the two models, Suzuki has lead the Indonesian 1-ton pick up market for years.
Indonesian Suzuki Carry
The current generation Indonesian Suzuki Carry was first launched back in 1991 as the Suzuki Carry Futura, and hasn't received any major change since. The car was first fitted with Suzuki's 1.3liter G13A engine, then with a 1.6liter G16A engine. By the year 2000, the engine was replaced by the 1.5liter G15A engine, which is still used on the car today.In the Indonesian market, the Carry Pick Up is currently sold alongside the APV Pick Up (called Mega Carry in Indonesia).
